Something's afoot! SOCKS!

If you are into tropical vacations or tropical living, one thing that at some you will need are socks.  If you do a lot of jungle hiking like we do, you'll know the value of not only good, but GREAT socks.

I have always been a fan of Duluth Trading Company, but most of their stuff was geared towards much colder climates than I inhabit...ever.  I stumbled upon their Lightweight X-Static Socks and bought one pair with a gift card.  I eventually ended up buying close to 10 pairs(as my wife uses them in the jungle too!)

In the rainforest of Costa Rica, we mostly wear tall rubber boots when out walking or working around Finca Ocho Verde.  These socks take a good bit of abuse and we often scamper around in sock feet prepping for our hike.  They are cool and thin for socks used in rubber boots.  They dry fast when on the line or in a dryer.  They stick to your calves and don't side down.
Post Hike X-Static Socks attract sweat bees after salt...they are not flies!

Kate and I joke that cool-max is really stink-max.  These socks are 51% cool-max, 0% stink-max.  That is another plus they have going for them.

All this being said, we a rate these socks as the best we have used in the jungle and as a Real Jungle Product.

If you have a Real Jungle Product that you would like to see posted in this blog, send to our email address.  If you have another opinion of the described product just add it to the comments section.

About us--We own a conservation-minded rainforest property in Costa Rica's rainiest area.  Finding adequate jungle products that were tried and true were difficult to find.  That is why we started this blog.
